The problem
A working media company needed more than a brochure: a site that markets the brand, manages a growing media library, and converts visitors into booked clients, without a heavyweight CMS or monthly SaaS sprawl.
The approach
A lean full-stack build: Vite + React 19 front end, Vercel serverless functions for the API, Vercel Blob for media storage and booking submissions, Resend for transactional email, and a JWT-cookie admin auth with bcrypt. The owner manages content and media through a custom admin; clients book through a guided flow that lands in their inbox.
The hard parts
CMS capability without a CMS
Content management, media uploads, and bookings all run on serverless functions and Blob storage, with no database server to babysit and no per-seat SaaS fees for a small business.
Where it landed
A real business runs on it: marketing site, media library, and booking pipeline maintained as an ongoing engagement.
